English is the most widely used international language. It is learnt to operate communication with the foreigners for various purposes such as maintaining co-operation, co-existence and exchanging business information. There are also certain jobs in the country which require a good functional knowledge of English. The jobs of a pilot, a postman, a telephone operator, a tourguide, a mechanic, a receptionist of an international hotel, an execuive of a multinational firm etc. Are a few of  them. 

Besides, a student wishing to go for higher studies must learn English because the books on advanced education are mostly written in English. So, the importance and demand of learning English in our country can, in no way, be ignored. Rather, we should put high importance on learning English to make room for us in the competitive world where international relations, IT matters, trade and business and above all, higher education play a vital role. The teaching and learning  of English has already occupied a remakable place in the education system of our country. there is no denying that nowadays the necessity of  English is being felt much more than before. In the changing pattern of the global circumstances, it is thus assumed that in the near future English will claim even more attention in our national education management.
